Database Design Process
The Following 20-steps approach leads to sound database design:

  1. Single be obliged to obtain some time to learn the business (or other organization) one is
wearisome to model. This will more often than not bore sitting down convention by means of the people who will be by resources of the system and asking them lots of questions.
  2. On a paer, one can write out a basic mission statement for the system. For example, one might write something like “This system will be used to take orders from customers and track orders for accounting & inventory purposes.” In addition, we can list out the requirments of the system. These requirments will guide us in creating the database schema and business rules. For example, we can create a list that inclues entires such as “Mut be able to track customer address for subsequent direct mail.”
  3.            Solitary can create jagged drafts of (on paper) the data entry forms. (If rules come to brainpower as one lays out the tables, add them to the inventory of requirements outlined instep 2.) The precise leave up to we receive will be guided by the state of any obtainable system.
