C# Basics

Introduction

Microsoft.NET was formely Known as Next Generation Windows Services (NGWS).It is a completely new platform for developing the next generation of  Windows/Web applications.These applications are intended to go beyond device boundries and fully harness the power of the Internet. When this new platform was being developed, it required a language that could exploit its full potential.

A main part of the .NET base class libraries is written in C#. The language gives access to many of the facilities previously on hand online C++, while retaining some of the plainness of Visual Basic. The C# compiler is considered the most efficient compiler in the .NET family. All these reason put together make C# the preferred choice of language for the.NET stage.
